Diferenças, preconceitos e violência no âmbito escolar: algumas reflexões
Resumo
Entendendo a problemática da violência como multideterminada, buscamos neste trabalho atentar para as questões dos estereótipos e preconceitos presentes no âmbito escolar. Consideramos que as diferenças e os estereótipos presentes no cotidiano escolar determinam formas de ação e são um dos aspectos que o constitui e que pode desencadear situações de violência protagonizadas por adolescentes e jovens. No espaço escolar essa interação com o diferente, quando não é problematizada, dá-se por meio de relações interpessoais pautadas por conflitos, confrontos e violência. O objetivo deste texto, portanto, é fazer uma reflexão a respeito das diferenças, preconceitos sociais e violência na escola protagonizadas por adolescentes e jovens. O pressuposto deste estudo é que as diferenças e os estereótipos presentes no cotidiano escolar determinam formas de ação e são um dos aspectos que o constitui.

Some reflection on difference, prejudice and violence in theschool environment
AbstractTaking into account that violence is determined by several factors, this paper aims at focusing on stereotypes and prejudice in the school environment. We believe that they determine ways of acting in school: since they are one of the issues that constitute the environment, they may trigger violent situations whose actors are adolescents and youngsters. In school, this interaction with what is strange, in case it is not problematized, happens through interpersonal relationships full of conflicts, confrontation, and violence. Therefore, we aim at reflecting on differences, social prejudice, and violence regarding adolescents and youngsters in school. We have assumed that differences and stereotypes in school determine ways of acting while constituting the school environment as well.
