Resgate histórico de um grupo rural de estudos das plantas medicinais: educação em saúde
Resumo
Este trabalho descreve o resgate histórico de um grupo de estudos de plantas medicinais do interior rural do município de Pelotas, RS, Brasil, denominado Grupo Espinheira Santa, por meio de metodologia qualitativa e exploratória, com o uso da narrativa. A necessidade desse estudo emergiu a partir das discussões pautadas na disciplina de Saúde e Meio Ambiente, parte integrante curricular do Mestrado em Enfermagem pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas, em parceria com a Embrapa Clima Temperado, por via do projeto “Plantas bioativas de uso humano por famílias de agricultores de base ecológica da região sul do RS”. Percebeuse a necessidade de um resgate histórico dessa realidade vivida por entender como um espaço potencial de educação ambiental locorregional, de fomentação de saberes e práticas ecológicas e de preservação do meio ambiente. Sobretudo, entendeu-se o grupo como um espaço construído socialmente para a perpetuação dos saberes sobre as plantas medicinais, saúde e organização do espaço. Como este trabalho destaca o resgate histórico do grupo a partir da percepção de uma ex-integrante, torna-se pertinente a continuidade deste estudo onde se aprende pesquisando.

Historical rescue of a rural studies group of medicinal plants: health education
Abstract:This paper describes the historical rescue of a study group of medicinal plants in the rural hinterland of the city of Pelotas, Brazil, Espinheira Santa Group, through qualitative methods and exploratory, with the use of narrative. The need for this study emerged from the discussions guided by the discipline of Health and Environment, part of the Nurse Masters Degree curriculum at the Federal University of Pelotas, in partnership with Embrapa Temperate Climate through the project "Bioactive Human Useful Plants by basic ecological familiar farmers in the south of RS ". Realized the need for a rescue of the historical reality experienced by understanding how a potential space for environmental education local/regional of fostering knowledge and practices of ecological and environmental preservation. Above all, it was considered the group as a socially constructed space for the perpetuation of knowledge about medicinal plants, health and organization of space. As this paper highlights the historic rescue group from the perspective of a former member, it is pertinent to the continuation of this study where one learns searching.
