O VELHO E O NOVO: AS TRANSFORMAÇÕES DA PAISAGEM DO BAIRRO SÃO CONRADO EM ARACAJU-SE / THE OLD AND THE NEW: THE TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE LANDSCAPE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARE CONRADO IN ARACAJU-SE

Resumo

Esse artigo analisa a dinâmica das transformações do bairro São Conrado em Aracaju- SE, desde a sua institucionalização até os dias atuais. Ressaltando que, com a criação da Fábrica Santa Cruz e a expansão do Distrito Industrial da capital sergipana surgiram às primeiras concentrações populacionais. No entanto, ao longo dos anos, principalmente no momento de sua institucionalização, diversos problemas socioeconômicos (saneamento, infraestrutura viária e social, etc.) refletiram na vida dos moradores, estando esses localizados num espaço de transição entre bairros centrais e periféricos da capital. Recentemente, a paisagem do bairro ganha novas formas, em especial pelo avanço do capital imobiliário. Em meio a essas transformações, a população local enxerga a paisagem do bairro, de maneira diferenciada. Para tanto, é válido analisar as diferentes visões das mudanças da paisagem, com o intuito de compreender as contradições inerentes à lógica de organização espacial contemporânea. Os resultados apresentados são a reconstituição histórica do bairro, as transformações da paisagem ao longo dos anos e as demandas e a percepção dos moradores sobre o referido bairro.

ABSTRACT

This article analyzes the dynamics of the transformations of the São Conrado neighborhood in Aracaju - SE, from its institutionalization to the present day. Emphasizing that, with the creation of the Santa Cruz Factory and the expansion of the Industrial District of the Sergipe capital, emerged the first population concentrations. However, over the years, mainly at the moment of its institutionalization, several socioeconomic problems (sanitation, road and social infrastructure, etc.) reflected in the life of the residents, being located in a space of transition between central and peripheral districts of the capital. Recently, the landscape of the neighborhood has gained new forms, especially by the advance of real estate capital. In the midst of these transformations, the local population sees the landscape of the neighborhood, in a different way. In order to do so, it is valid to analyze the different visions of landscape changes, in order to understand the contradictions inherent in the logic of contemporary spatial organization. The results presented are the historical reconstruction of the neighborhood, the transformations of the landscape over the years and the demands and the perception of the residents about the neighborhood.
